2004 4runner V8 Limited

brand new all terrains
no rust (on body, frame has rust)

Purchase in June 2016
Bought from a private dealership. No pics in ad. Had to show up and I was first in line to purchase. I had been looking for almost a year so I was happy t finally be pulling the trigger.
So far I spent (all prices in CAD):
$1200 for a 2 year/unlimited KM warranty on drivetrain.
$200 to weld an exhaust leak
$1700 for a complete service from Toyota including brakes + calipers (this one hurt but I was short on time and patience).
$800 to rip out XREAS and install Bilstein 4600 HD in the rear and Bilstein 5100 in the front. Kept the front stock springs and the Rear Air Suspension. (thanks to this forum for the information)
$700 to replace driver front wheel speed sensor.
It seems like a lot but its cheaper than buying a 100,000KM + 5th gen for over 30k CAD. The V8 with fulltime AWD is legendary and these babies hold their value well.
Next service due is front/rear diff, transfer case and coolant plus timing belt/water pump (no history). May be in the next 2000km or so.
I barely drive the thing since I work in the oilpatch. My plan is to keep it for 2-5 years or when the tires go bald, then send it to auction.
Or I might do the most stock expedition build ever (just a RTT and an ENGEL fridge), drive it down to Peru, sell it then buy a Toyota Landcruiser 105 series (Diesel/SFA/Manual/Ambulance doors) and drive the landy back to Canada, making my American friends jealous along the way.
