$18,600 full retail for an '08 Limited V8 4WD, bought it 3/24/17. 97k miles, timing belt replaced at 91k. I'd been hunting for an '08 Colorado-owned Limited V8 with the timing belt replaced. It wasn't pristine underneath, but the leather was pristine and I'm a sucker for pristine leather.

07 v6 limited 96k miles for 14k in June 2016. Descent condition but not great.

2003 Limited with the V8, 268,000 km (~167,000 miles), $6500 CDN (so, about $20 USD :jk:). Needed a timing belt (pretty sure it was original), radiator, did the water pump at the same time, ripped off the running boards, needs new shocks (XREAS, probably original, also worn out). Changed pretty much every bulb in the HVAC panel and console. But I do like it. The V8 is nice.

WOW, that timing belt didn't have long to live, good thing you gave it your attention first or you would've had a bucket of bolts for an engine!!!

How does the frame look, does it have a lot of rust?

Just picked up a 2007 V8 Limited with 170,000, one owner. Needs a timing belt and thats it. Got the Lexus dealer down to $9600.

Bought a one owner 03 SR5 V8 for $900 with a blown engine. Purchased a engine from LKQ with 77k for $900. R&R myself so $1800. Currently doing all maintenance (swapping all fluids, etc.).

Sounds like a great investment, is it a 03, 04 or 05?
What year engine did you get?

He was upfront about the belt. The kid I bought it off is a first year mechanic and his boss had the truck in the shop. They had the timing cover off and I knew it was garbage. He had the belt, but his boss wouldn't let him replace it in his shop, so he threw the kit in with the deal. I got it changed by my brother's buddy for $240 (he mistakenly quoted me for doing a V6 belt, not the more complex V8, but he did it anyhow).

And yeah, it was definitely on its last gasp. Frame looks pretty good for a Canadian vehicle. The usual surface rust. The running board brackets were done for, though, which is why I pulled them off. The wiring for the lights in the boards was shorting out, taking the keyless entry, clock, and interior lighting with them. I have a post on here about it.
