What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

2 mos ago i got a super clean white v6 4x4 with 130k miles with everything working and not too much rust for $7300 cash.

2007 limited, owned by a police officer who took care of his stuff, 120k on the clock, brand new looking inside and out for $14k with a toytech lift and ironman tires/fuel rims. looked pretty good as she sat, not much to do here expect creating a starting point/baseline for maintenance and start adding on the goodies.
First post here guys. I think it's been mentioned somewhere in this thread that SoCal prices are way over kbb for low mileage 4runners. I've been looking for weeks now and I noticed that all the "good" ones seem to be marked up.
So the dilemma, I found a 08 V6 SE 4wd with 70K miles in excellent condition at a dealership. I really want to buy it, but is it worth the mark up? or keep looking. I haven't seen it in person, but I spoke with the salesman and he said 08-09's are hard to find in excellent condition so they get a ton of buyers who will pay the premium as they are getting rarer. I'm open to either the V8 or V6 option

Dont fall for that bullshit its just a car not a mythical white unicorn. Dont overpay, otherwise you could just buy a nicer 5th gen

Man, it seems like everyone here got amazing deals. 2006 shadow mica V8 SR5 w/ 135K, original owner, new timing belt, $11K
2008 sport 4wd V8, 114K, 2 owner $11.5K (4 weeks ago)
2nd owner was since 40K for 8 years, oil changes every 3K miles, owner was a little 110 lbs nurse, interior is next to perfect, one small ding in the front plastic lower bumper, zero rust. Completely stock except for radio and I have to change the timing belt.
It has the xreas system and is in good working order, going to put a daystar lift on this weekend. Once I get all of the maintenance stuff completed, I’ll install a proper coil over lift.

Well, reading through this i got ripped off.
14k for a 2007 v8 SR5
148,000 miles
All in good condition.
But, I did get a much better trade in than I should have for my other two cars.

Here in FL, at least, the 06 and up 4x4s all came at a premium. A budget of $12k was only seeing 4x4s with 150 on the clock. Ended up getting mine (v6, sr5, 4x4, shadow mica, 132k) for $10,800 just a couple months ago And was happy about it (and still am... though I’ve spend a few more $ on her since!).
I was tempted by the same truck with 200k on it for $6,500 though. Had nice wheels and a lift too. But I plan on keeping this for a while and not driving it a ton (3rd vehicle), so I figured I’d spend the extra and save 70k miles.

2007 Galactic Grey Sport V8 4X4 with 130k miles. Perfect inside and out. Zero rust but needed timing belt done. I bought from second owner. Original owner had it to 101k and had full service records. I paid $15k. That was the best deal I could find on a low miles, no rust 4x4 V8 here in Utah. Lots of them cheaper from back east with tons of rust.

03, SR5 V8, 4x4, 151,000 miles, titanium metallic (?). $4100
Interior was a bit dirty, got it detailed. Needed new tires, got those. It had a lot of little nitpicky things (broken center console lock, broken glove box lock, rear latch didn't work). The rear latch just needed a reset of the rear ECU... And I replaced all the little parts that were broken.
It needs new valve cover gaskets, that's an easy job. The timing belt was replaced but I can't tell what the sticker says for mileage so I'm going to knock that out. All in all, it's a good deal I think.

4wd? Sounds like you got a good deal.
I just paid 14k for a 06 sport v8 with upgraded leather and 98k on it. Had to change the timing belt and water pump unfortunately but the truck is running extremely well. Mine was in very good condition, sans a little fading on the plastic cladding. That was until I took it out last weekend and got some serious pin striping. The drive was worth it though!
