What fuel injectors would you recommend?

I have 321,100+ miles on my rig. I recently used 44K and Redline S1 complete fuel system cleaner. I used it as directed and my truck ran fine until the next fill up. I could feel a misfire and sure enough the CEL came on. Misfire cylinder 6. I pulled the plugs that had only 11,000 miles on them and the electrodes were almost gone, down to the insulator. I replaced all of the spark plugs, the fuel filter, along with the ignition wires and swapped a coil pack just to see if anything changed. Nothing changed, and I'm planning on changing out all of the fuel injectors. I see a LOT of New Denso sets for under $100. Please send me your recommendations and any and all information will be appreciated. I don't want to skimp and regret it, yet I don't want to drop hundreds and then realize I could have done better. Thanks guys!

I have looked at the injectors Motor West has but they look all plastic and not the same color. The OEM ones have a metal body with a light green or grey electrical connection. I want to get remanufactured or new to match originals.

Motor west again. Those oem injectors are known to have an internal solenoid failure, that is why motor west doesn't sell them anymore.

They are a good company and those black injectors are fantastic. They are oem Lexus iirc.

Motorwest. Same pressure and flow rate. If you want the same look as the ones you have, Motorwest does those as well. Just a moment...

Sounds like you got fake parts. Stop buying from eBay and/or Amazon. Genuine NGKs or Densos will last just fine for 60k miles. Get them from the dealer, local parts store or RockAuto.

Set for under $100? Again, those are fakes. The Motorwest 'stock replacements' are a newer design that still uses the vacuum assist and flow the same and are Denso instead of Aisin (I believe?). I run them on my supercharged engine with good results - good fuel trims, etc.

They're Aisan, the same company that makes the throttle body for 96-00. Yup, $100 was too good to be true even 20 years ago. The injectors Motorwest sells are off a 1MZ-FE.

The brown injectors for 1999 and newer are the ones known to fail. My 1996 truck uses the grey or light green ones with a different part number.

I use only Denso plugs. Apparently 44K and Red line S1 will leave residue on the plugs and cause them to be eaten up. It is recommended to replace the plugs after using these products. I didn't know that until I started having issues. I don't know that my truck ever had a fuel system product ran theough it and I did 2 treatments with 321k miles. I'm sure some crap went through the system!

I've ran many many fuel injection cleaners over the last 20 something years and never had them destroy spark plugs. Ever.

Like Charlie said, buy spark plugs only from a parts store, rock auto or the dealer. To many fakes. Including 100$ injectors.

If you dont want anything but oem style/color, you can send your injectors in to be serviced.

I did try a too-cheap-to-be-tru set of $150-ish injectors on eBay a while back when one of the originals went bad. They arrived wrapped in plain plastic bags, lol. "We buy from the manufacturer in bulk so no normal packaging!". Yeah right. They did look correct even up close and in person, no way to tell they were fake crap. I went to the effort of putting them in. They ran poorly. The engine idled unevenly. It had cold start issue (I think from the injectors leaking down after shutoff). It had warm start issues (I think flooding from leaking). The seller said they need to 'settle in'. I took them back off and returned them to the seller and got most of my $150 back. And just went to a junkyard and got another set of 6 OEM injectors from a wrecked 4Runner for about $40. When I cracked the fuel lines on the junkyard car gas was still pressurized, they're not leaking, lol. Installed them on mine and now it runs perfectly again, and I have 5 spares in case another one ever fails.

This is 100% correct. The reason why Motorwest Performance steered away from refurbishing the OEM Aisin injectors is because of the internal solenoid failures. I can't think of one person that has complained about Motorwest Performance injectors. People all over the internet highly recommend them. I've been using them in my engine for a long time with no issues.

Not that Motorwest needs another endorsement but I'm 2 years in and happy with mine. I have recommenced them to others who feel the same. Buy once Cry once applies here and the price is fair.
