what is this tube?

The other day when I was replacing the air filter for my 05' 4Runner (V6 4.0L trim), I found a tube behind the air filter housing (shown in the red circle). One end of the tube was not connected to anywhere. What tube is this, and is it supposed to be disconnected?

might be the fuel pressure regulator vaccum line

I thinks it either a fuel regulator vacuum or a vacuum advance....either way there is a port on the back of the intake assembly that it is supposed to be plugged into

based on the length (which is rather short) of the tube and the direction it is bent, you should be able to figure out where it connects to, unless i am missing something.
