Its pretty simple. no one has guns so everyone is unarmed and staying their distance.

You might see the same thing if an incident happened in Manhattan or San Francisco vs. Salt Lake City or anywhere in TX or AZ.

It shows one of the perpetrators, hands covered in blood and holding a knife, saying directly into the camera: "We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you. The only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying every day." The man, who appears to be in his 20s or 30s, then says: "The British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

BTW, the guy is an immigrant that was radicalized. Britain has some pretty stupid EU laws protecting immigrants from deportation even when they have anti-British views. These laws come from their membership in the EU and it is a major source of contention. A lot of British people want to leave the EU like now but it is a political struggle. Think of the EU as a super-north-america treaty that supersedes many sovereign laws governing who can immigrate and who can hire/fire people.

EVERYONE should wonder why the US government (under current leadership and conservative push) is contemplating arming the Syrian rebels who have viewpoints very similar to the guy who killed the British soldier. Those rebels are aligned with Al-Q. Why would we arm the friends of our enemy?

It should be obvious to you and anyone here who has even a basic grasp of world politics that the killer was motivated by his belief that the United States is at war with his religion. He believes that the US is killing Muslims in multiple countries and occupying Muslim lands. He believes that he is just in his killing --- I am sure you do not dispute he believes this.

It is a fact that the US is at war in multiple Muslim countries right now. We have active bombing/drone campaigns going on in Yemen / Pakistan / Iraq / Afghanistan / Libya / Syria (drones yes, troops no) just to name a few. All of those countries operate under a form of Sharia law. Sharia is the "moral code and religious law of Islam" In Islamic countries it is written in their constitution (if they have one) and intertwined with the government. None of those countries have secular laws protecting religious freedom as we westerners know it. In each of those Sharia practicing countries the penalty for converting from Islam to any other religion is death.

He was obviously told by his Imam (church leader) that the US is killing Muslims. He outright stated (below) that he was killing in the name of Islam.

Just because you think he is not following the religion doesn't mean that much to me. Are you a religious scholar?

Across the world millions of Sharia-Adherent-Muslims (politically correct way) live in countries where Sharia, carried out in multiple forms is the law. You say it is not representative of the religion. Sorry but it is certainly representative of ENORMOUS percentages of the religion's followers.

Lastly, have you ever visited a Muslim country? Stepped foot on the ground?

I have been to 2, both moderate countries where Sharia law still exists in great strength. I visited Bahrain and Dubi while serving in the Navy. I remember seeing so many of the women fully covered wearing the Nijab when I visited Dubi. Tourists (Western women) are not forced to wear the Nijab but locals wear it. Those women may tell you in an interview that they "choose" to wear it but the truth is they will be beaten or otherwise punished by their families if they dressed like a westerner. If one of them chose to convert they will be sentenced to death. This is not main-stream propaganda. It is the law in those countries.

Thousands of protesters took to the streets to protest FOR the government to PASS Blasphemy laws making it illegal to verbally insult any religion. They want the death penalty for insulting their beliefs. This is the opposite of free speech.

32 people were killed in the clash between the government police and religious protesters.

I hope that i would be brave enough to aid the soldier (if confronted by similar situation), but i don't know to be honest. If i was carrying, then i would imagine that i would take the two guys down AFTER i secure my family. Unfortunately, the spectators may not know that these two guys are not armed with guns. I would be equally hesitant. I would call police first (after securing my family). Then, if my balls permit, i would cautiously approach the crime scene with my gun drawn (only at close distance) and me taking cover. And if no bystander in the background, then i would imagine that i would take my shots.

Would i have save the soldier with the above actions? I hope so. (Note: i don't know how long the murder took.)

NOTE: i use "imagine" a lot for obvious reason.
