what should I look out for

Me and my gf are looking into buying a 99 and up 4runner. What are some things that I should look out for? Is there any problems that 4runners are known to have?

not really. 99's are great, dont have any major streamlined issues.

what matters is the maintenance that was done per the mileage.

look at the owners section of toyota.com. hit maintenance and enter in the trucks info.. thatll tell you what general maintenance should be done.
