If all else looks good, I will ensure that the paperwork is in order. Assuming that its an 86 body, an 86 VIN, and a matching 86 title and registration, there shouldn't be a problem
Thanks for sharing your experiance with a body swap. Ill make sure to give the frame a very close inspection, particularly around the body mounts.
I wasn't aware that the spacers need to be removed for inspection, thats good to know. I don't believe its lifted; what problems does that create with inspectors?

What state are you in? In Nevada if it's a truck that's already been titled in Nevada they don't even come out and look at it. They just collect your money and send you your title.

I'm in NC, and the truck is titled here. Im not anticipating that being an issue. NC does have annual "safety" and emissions inspections, but the safety piece seems pretty cursory- lights, turn signals, mirrors, tread depth... I doubt they'd notice spacers, but its something to be aware of. Do spacers create some type of safety issue?

Depends on the state, and the inspector. Here in Utah there are frame height limits, for example, and my truck barely passes. Check with your DMV or DOT or whatever for your safety inspection laws.
