What other cars/trucks have you owned?

FoneRunner and I were discussing our old cars before the 4runners,

each has an interesting little story, I thought I would make a thread for us to post little stories about all our "previously" owned vehicles

my cars are is as follows,

82 Sentra -got with timing belt broken, rebuilt the cylinder head, drove 1 day clutch went out, got half clutch replaced, never finished it, sold it to a mechanic when i moved to Cali,

88 Dodge Lancer- aka "Old Faithful" that name was ironic, but I loved that car, I knew almost everything about that car. lots of work done on everything! :0)
died of a blown head gasket, I let it overheat and blew the motor, kind of a gunshot to the head for a loved car, it got towed away when my apartment complex repaved. I kept a seatbelt I cut out of it and the oil dipstick for a long time afterward!

88 Honda Prelude- Hahahaha, I put a Nascar sticker in the front windshield, had a k&n intake and flowmaster muffler on it, tried to race my best friends 69 Firebird with it and lost, tried to race his girlfriends Acura Legend and lost... LOL
Died of Electrical trouble, more to replace wiring harness than car was worth traded it in...

98 Pontiac Grand Am- Nice car actually, loved the power of the V6, first car to have a legit sound system in it,
Died by rear end from pickup on icy road after doing 2-360s on ice near Park City, Utah on my way back from vacation in California. It is survived by all the crap that was stolen from my car before the insurance guy made it to get my stuff...

1996 Toyota 4runner SR5- My baby and the first car I actually had a chance to pay off!
my next car will be a 4runner too, Ill get the newest 3rd Gen TRD I can find.

Honorable mention goes to the gift I bought my wife, I got her a 2001 spyder Eclipse convertible, which was traded in cuz my son was born. That was a frickin fun car, drove to Wisconsin and Ohio in that one.

had a 1998 Camaro SS with lots of mods...ran 12.3 @ 113 in the 1/4

2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 diesel with a KORE lift with walker evans wheels with 35" Toyos and an edge programmer.

then a 2002 audi A4 sport (POS)

2003 Infiniti G35 sport (hated it)

now a 1978 Jeep CJ7 with a 2002 chevy 5.3 and a 1997 Jeep CJ7

sorry about all the pics, I miss my cars :(

Before my current '97 4runner (which I've had since '01 and put 105K+ on it), I was driving a:
'95 4runner (3.slow grenaded on the freeway)
'95 Honda Civic (great but missed 4wd)
'86 Toyota Extra Cab P/U (loved that truck, but it was my 1st and I beat the crap out of it)
Those were mine, but before that even, I was driving my Mom's '91 4runner and my Dad had a '93 T100 for about 8 years. Needless to say, my family likes Yotas!

I think I forgot to tell Duhockey about the truck I had just prior to my 4Runner...it was a 2007 Chevy Avalanche...I loved that truck. I put a really nice magnaflow on it and a bunch of other stuff...used to get 650 miles to a tank of gas too! Bought it brand new and thought I would have it until it died...but that's the way it goes, and it actually worked out good since I sold it for real close to payoff and paid cash for my 4Runner...so now I'm happy and payment free!

99 Civic Hatch B16

00 Z71 Tahoe boat puller
05 STi

and now I have my 05 v8 runner

I had a 2005 Mazda 3, the 2.3 hatchback model with the moon roof and all the fixins. I miss that little car, but my family got bigger with large dog included, and since we live in the country, it was necessary to upgrade. Always wanted a 4wd, but I wanted something reliable, yet a little rugged...so the 4Runner seemed the perfect option. (I almost bought a Highlander....thank god I didn't!) We had 18" of snow right before Christmas and my T4R performed most excellently. I will never own anything else

1999 Toredor Red Ford Ranger super cab off road pkg. Big tires, incredible clearance and articulation from stock.

Beat that thing silly but it did it all...until you need a carseat. My dad bought it for lake duty, and still has it. Toughest paint job I've ever seen. It fit me like a glove, as if it was designed just for me. Everything in perfect reach. Perfectly comfortable seat and seating positing.

I would most likely still be driving it if it weren't for family duties. I actually bought the 4R in error. This is because I thought that I would be going to the lake with the young family. That only happened a few times, so actually I should have held onto my Ranger, and left the car seats to the car and then later the van.
