What wire is this that's been cut?

Hey all,
I recently got a screamin deal on this '87 4runner. And I'm glad I did cause it's got a lot of little things that need repaired.
Exhibit A, the attached photo here shows a wire on the drivers side that's been cut. It's very close to the window up/down switch that is engaged by the special bolt in the hardtop.
What is this set of 5 wires?
Where does it plug into?
Is it meant to plug into the square 4 wire terminal that's 1 foot to the left in the same photo?

Thank you! I discovered it when trying to diagnose why the rear window won't go back up. I'm hoping this could be the problem.

It's for the rear speakers, there is another one on the pass side in the same spot.

The factory rear speakers were powered by their own amp each so there is 12v and ground too

Here's what those colors should be, bold designates what I see in the photo, but you should double check with a multimeter:

1987-88 Toyota 4-Runner Stereo Wiring
Constant 12V+ Blue/Yellow or Blue/Black
Switched 12V+ Gray
Ground Brown
Illumination Green
Antenna Right Front
Front Speakers 4" Dash
Left Front (+) Pink
Left Front (-) Purple
Right Front (+) Green
Right Front (-) Blue
Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Side Panels
Left Rear (+) Black
Left Rear (-) Yellow
Right Rear (+) Red
Right Rear (-) White

Thanks guys! Great advise. Unfortunately not my rear window issue...so back to that now.

in the tailgate there is a switch on the drivers side latch that tells the door its closed, test it... common failure.


you can also unplug the motor for the window and use jumper wires to raise the window. 1 12v wire and 1 ground, hook em up one way it goes up, the other it goes down. just dont keep power to it once its all the way up or down, you can burn out the motor.

mine finally failed a couple years ago. I disconnected it and jumped the plug. I wasn't going to mess with replacing it.
