What would you do with $1000?

Well, the financially responsible thing of course would be save it blah blah blah lol. Now that that's out of the way, I'd say the AK. AR uppers aren't serialed or regulated, and in the current climate, you never know how much longer we'll have to buy them. Hope I'm wrong since I don't have one yet either, but it's definitely a "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" situation. Plus, it'll take some serious action for them to depreciate in value.

lol thank you for the financial advise, I agree totally with that, and I like how you put it, but i have college funds and investments and retirement already, so I am having some fun spending lol.

The AR and AK thing has been tough decision, to exactly what you are saying, uppers should be available no matter what, and that has been my struggle on decision. I have a lower and a dedicated .22 upper, i just need something to reach out and touch with some distance. Ak ammo is cheaper still as well.

Also the firearms are one of the top decisions on value, any car parts automatically drop, firearms parts rarely drop much at all.

Good Advise sir.

put it in the bank with the rest of the money to collect interest then go shopping when it doubles

I'm not sure if you have seen bank savings rates as of late. They are less than 1%. You would be waiting a long long time before it would doubles and by then inflation would have out paced the savings rate.

Better bet is it put it all on black. 50/50 chance to turns into $2000, if it hits red, well at least you get a free drink.

Exactly my point let it sit and collect till I'm old and crunchy. Still don't get why people come on small change like a grand and immediately feel they need to spend it right away makes no sense

Because it's a gift and I earned it by working my ace off!! Raised 118% of my fundraising goal for the Boy Scouts! Earlier than everyone else!

Well, some may already be old and crunchy ... so enjoy now
As for others .... young and silky ... so enjoy now
None of us have 150years to get started spending yesterday's small change!

Did that earn you a badge in scouts?

Tell the wife about that and you'll be paying those hospital bills, yo.

Actually she knows about that and all other stuff! Always told myself when I marry that person she will know it all, she's never been excited about it all, but accepts the fact I used to be a little bit of a hellion!

Well from a most responsible to least I'd say...

Pay off bills
Invest it in Gun stuff (or some other less fun investment)
Save it.

If all of that is off the table and you want to spend it on your T4R, wheels would be my first choice because I would want to get rid of those spacers (don't trust them) and because wheels are one of the few upgrades you can buy that might actually help when it comes time to sell the truck.

Those are all logic based answers, if none of them appeal to you then just get whatever it is that you think will make you the happiest?
