Would you trade in a 2006 4runner sport edition v6 4x4 with about 18k miles for this???

2008 Infiniti G37 coupe
6 speed manual transmission
330hp

Apples and Oranges, but the G35 is a nice car. The Runner and G35 both have their own purpose and uses that really don't mix for comparison. Depends on what you want in the end.

edit: Get an automatic...shifting drives me crazy. :beer:

when the lease is up on my magnum i am getting a g35 (or apparently a g37 since they have more power).

The G35 is a nice car and probably more fun to drive than the 4Runner. I am an SUV guy so I would keep the 4Runner without a doubt.

Since I'm an avid outdoorsman, (fishing, camping, hunting, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, list goes on and on) who needs cargo and towing ability and a comfortable ride for long journeys, I wouldn't drop the dough on a sports car. I like driving as well, so if I wanted to go fast and have fun, I would buy a used WRX or something similar.
Just my $0.02.

2 doors, seats on the floor, crammed engine compartment and reclined seating position - No Way in Hell. Not again at least, driving 300ZX for 4 years was enough for me in 90's. Sports cars look and handle well, but drive like a damn horse wagon over road imperfections (rough).

i wouldn't. like JoJoBetsy mentioned above, they all have different purpose of use, different driving ability. if you buy the G37 for the performance, i mean that price can get you a lot of higher performance used sport car. also keep in mind new car's price depreciation so bad lately, 1 year later the G37 probably gonna drop about 10k on the tag, at least. but for the $40k price tag range, some decent used sport cars are in range.
for me if i have to choose, i woulda keep the T4R and hunt for a used sport car, just my opinion.

I went from a '01 Jeep Cherokee to the new '06 Honda Civic for the "sportiness" (it's a peppy 'lil 2-door w/hfp areo kit) and the better gas mileage and I like it... but I miss the hell out of my SUV! Can't wait to pick up a deal on a 4Runner!

x2. The G37 is real sexy, but this will only last a few months. Capability and practicality last forever.

Not to mention Nissan's resale value drop the fastest out of the Japanese Auto Makers line up (err...I guess Mitsu gives them a good run at it, though). I will never own a Nissan ever again. Only Nissan that looks appealing is the new GTR. But even then, I would rather wait for the new Supra.

Only thing Nissan is good for is their ramen.

:rocker: :rocker: seems like another Supra nuts here with me!!! well, i'm not too sure how's the new Supra value is gonna hold, since it is their first year(hopefully will be out by early 2009), and new mechanical design, bug/recall are unknown. i rather invest money on the MKIV, i bet no normal car would have that type of appreciation value. for example a 98 supra TT 6spd with quicksilver color, which is very rare. back then MSRP was $46k, but now 9 years later, it will be very lucky if we can close a deal on the same year, color with <40,000miles at $55k. i'm still finding one with a good price but no hope so far.

Infiniti, IMO screwed up. The '07 G sedan looks great. The '07 G coupe doesn't have any appeal to me, I rather go with the '06 G coupe. I hate to say it, but the 335i looks great.

Why not get a IS350 instead?
