Whats this worth? 85 22RE EFI

Also posted on TacomaWorld as I need some quick advise!

Im looking at a new rig, its a one owner arizona truck, clean title with 136K original miles.

1985 4Runner with EFI 22RE and solid front axel. Manual Trany.

This will be a daily driver (about 30 miles round trip) as well as my weekend play truck. mostly just light jeep roads to get to fishing, hunting and biking trails in southwest colorado.

The current owner as well as myself would like to come up with a fair price for it? what do you guys think?

Newer BFG A/Ts, great service record absolutely nothing wrong with it and unbelievably clean inside and out.

Used prices vary greatly across the US, but being from AZ should mean no rust, which is a big problem with them, and the mileage is real low (is it real?) which makes it worth more too. Is that the original paint job? It looks too good.
Anyway, $4K might be reasonable if it's all good.
 
I don't know the market in AZ, but here in the PNW and that clean, it would bring at least $6-7K or more to the right guy.

^Exactly! Here that's a $7-8K truck. And as Boatracer said, even more to the right person. Clean '85 EFI 4rnrs & Hi-Lux p/u prices are really taking off on the west coast. Jump on that thing quick!

BTW did I mention I'm leaving for AZ in the morning..! :car:

really to give you a better idea, we need more info. is it SR5? does it have a moon roof? is the interior trim on the rear cab? does anything not work? when was the last time the timing chain done and was it done with metal backed guides? Just from the pics I would value it between 3K-4K here in AZ. If it has more of the things I asked about it just goes up from there. come to a fair price you are both happy with and enjoy it.

Luckily you guys wont find this listed for sale anywhere
 
I believe it is an SR5, its got a new clutch, work on the fuel system, new A/C that blows ice cold and timing chain in the last 15K.

Pull the damn trigger. In a few years when it's worth double(if u keep it in showroom stock condition)you'll be glad u did. Buy it, get some OEM bumpers and wheels for it, and leave it alone. Just my .02 :peep:
 
price is all about location, and willing buyers.

around here, i'd be able to sell that for between $6 and $8K, and it would sell in a week or less.

$3 to $4K? don't sell it in AZ, sell it elsewhere and double the money.
 
Alright guys. Looks like its gonna happen!

On another note anyone want a 98 2.7L manual tranny 200K rust bucket from the east coast?
