What’s your first mod gonna be?

I've got my eyes on the 3" Bilstein 5100 combo with ARB coils and a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3w. After that I'll be looking to do a seat swap to remove the leather in the limited - not in Phoenix, no thanks.

Prinsu Rack - Full length - No drill is going to be my first mod. My 4Runner already came with a Revtek 432 leveling kit and Nitto tires, so I didn't have to purchase new tires, which would definitely have been my first purchase otherwise. Second mod is replacing the horrible Revtek rear shocks with Icon VS RR 2.5 rear shocks w/ CDCV.

First Mod - 2007 4Runner

I bought my 4Runner about 6 months ago. I'm finally to the point where I need new tires. I'm planning on a cheap 3" lift with 275/65/R18 A/T tires. I currently have bald tires and a sagging (w/ X-reas)front suspension. I will be replacing the front struts with new stock non-x-reas struts with a 3" spacer. The rear will get a set of new shocks to accommodate the lift along with new elongated springs.

I have read around and seen a lot of posts and videos so I am looking forward to getting this done over the weekend. I am picking up some new tools since I left everything in Oregon when I moved :ohwell: (Stupid choice and I'm still kicking myself but on the positive note, I can get new tools :wink2:).

Questions:

Doesn't look like I'll need a spring compressor for the rear, is this true?

I need a new pickle fork / ball join separator. Can anyone recommend a specific one for this project? I typically used a pickle for but I notice they can destroy the rubber boots if I'm not careful.

Many thanks for all/any replies!

Well since I am still stuck in purgatory. 5k in on a 2019 ORP have Morimoto 2 stroke high beams, Morimoto HID low beams, Diode dynamics tail as turn, and SLF fogs in yellow (H11). All interior bulbs are now LED Vinyl wrap the front end, blacked out badges, DRL mod, and a Victory 4x4 Roof rack and ARB awning on the way. Oh and Tinted 35% over factory in the back and 25% on the front plus the strip up front.

How are you liking those HID’s?
I just ordered some Innovited low beams. Wish I had seen these. They look quality.

My first mod was Bilstein coilovers and rear shocks 3" lift. :tea: Second was procomp 7089 wheels and 295/70/17 toyo open country tires. :)

My first mod will be lift, wheels, and a lot of maintenance all at once. Doing a frame swap so it only makes sense

First mod was Offroad rims, Mich tires and Interior LEDS. Then BPFab molle third window panels. Then I decided to get absolutely atrocious seat covers...

Just installed the Shrockworks Trail trim kit today, and soon I will be putting this bad boy on the front end. Then I'll really ruin it by putting a big ol' rear bumper and a suspension, and then I'll trade it in after 5 years and start all over again!

Took delivery and drove straight, literally, to the tire shop. Had NittCrosstrek 2's installed and the all-terrain tires pulled for storage. Why oh why does the dealer rub shiny goo all over the sidewalls? Anyway, will re-install when we move next year. So, that was my first mod :whoo:

Next may be an LFD off-road skid plate :cheer2:

In San Diego and would trade for the leather. LMK if this is something you'd be willing to do, not hot enough here for me to hate leather seating!

Center Console Mod- need help PLEASE

Hello,

I recently dismantled my 2004 SR5 center console in all of it's entirety to paint it black. However, I need to replace 2 plastic parts but I haven't been successful with Google search. I asked my service advisor but he couldn't give me an immediate answer.

I am hoping that all the pros here can help me out.
I just want the plastic components if possible, as opposed to buying the whole housing unit.

Please help me!

Thanks in advance.

My first real mod, other than the proclip phone holder and the FJ shifter and license plate that says "OV4RLND" is going to be all this madness. Been saving for two years to get to the point where I could buy the truck and have enough in the bank to get a start on the mods I want to do. I'm going to install the ARB diff breather but I have an appointment with the installer for the rest of it. Part of me wants to do it myself but the other part wants it done right the first time...

Interior LEDs. I was two short for the door courtesy lights and only did the driver side. They look much, much better. I may be the only one who notices...
