As the title states, would love to hear feedback from Stage 7 owners. There isn't much coverage on this package out there aside from "for the money you could do this..." or "why do you need 2.5s in the rear" - because i hit the lotto and i want to hang out with raptors :naughty: I'm inquiring into problems with the build, things to know or lookout for. Things you love, things you hate...

If you want to hang out with raptors go look for them where eagles soar. In my neck of the woods we have Red Tail hawks and Cooper's Hawks. :high5:
If you look at the Filthy Motor Sports video on lift packages you'll see his cutaway of a Ford Raptor rear shock that's really a smaller shock with lots of body metal wrapping.
The cost of an ICON Stage 7 lift kit is fairly steep when you consider you can put the same parts together from less expensive manufacturers. The ICON shocks are the best part of that system. I'd buy those. The billet aluminum UCA is overkill and twice the price of many other equally good UCA with ball joints or anything similar. The tubular UCA is a fair value but there are other choices. The Delta Joint is available in the tubular UCA, but it's a bit of an unknown, new joint, AFAIK. The link arms are expensive, even for the tubular versions. The billet aluminum link arms are more than what anyone needs. All that shiny billet alum' is nice looking when it's new but it's unnecessary bling, IMO.

Lol the raptor comment was a joke.. money is not a factor. I’m just curious on how the complete system plays on the 4R. Thanks for your input on the links tough to find owner inputs on the system....either it sucks or people aren’t willing to cough up the money for them..

I recently installed a Stage 7 setup sans rear trailing arms and pan rod bar. Was running a Bilstein 6112/5160 setup before this. Really happy with the results but if I could do it over again I would have probably gone for a different UCA. Had to warranty my driver side UCA because the ABS sensor bolt broke off and I was also having a ton of grinding noises coming from the uniball.
The ride is night and day better than the Bilsteins. It's much more controlled both on and off-road. I think I've logged about 1,000 miles on dirt so far in the Sierras and our local off road park. Will be crossing the Mojave next month so looking forward to really testing the CDCV shocks in open desert!

Are you talking about the tubular or billets?

Tubular, the warrantied UCA is starting to make similar noises to the original. After only about 500 miles of mixed off and on road use.

I have the Stage 7 on my rig (With the Billet UCAs also) and love it. I also had Stage 5 on my Previous Tacoma. Never had any issues with either one. The ride is amazing in the open Desert with the CDC's set at "3". The reason I went with the stage 7 kit because I got an amazing deal on it from Total Automotive that was unbeatable anywhere else (Even the Icon Page).

Nice. Do you keep it on 3 on and off road? How long have you been running the setup? Any issues??

I normally leave it at "4" on road and crank it down to "3" when I go offroad. It seems to be pretty nice right there. No issues. Have had the kit for 6 months now.
