Where do you dispose/recycle your coolant / antifreeze / flush?

I'm in Middlesex County. First dropoff would be March 19 at Middlesex County College but I was hoping there might be some other method.

Somerset County is next door, recycling center is minutes away from the Somerset Patriots Stadium off exit 13B on 287 North. The next dropoff date is Saturday March 4, they'll ask what town you're coming from, tell them Somerset.

When they dump the waste water out of our local plant into the river....its cleaner than the drinking water....basically purified water by then. I dump mine down the drain without trying to find any other place. Why would you take the oil in....dump it on your road or driveway...best dust abatement there is!! Don't use diesel....stinks terribly for years!!! I was told that once.

Old oil works great as Liquid Edger between driveway cracks.
I know it's actually legal to dump/flush old coolant in some states, I'm just not sure which.

Yes most auto repair shops like Firestone, Tire Works, etc are charged for removing their coolant. What I've done is gone to one of those places with this in mind and gave the guy $5-$10 (depending on how much I'm dropping off) and they were happy to take it. I don't know about pouring chemicals down the toilet, I think they just specialize in poo and pee, not sure how saavy they are with antifreeze, motor oil or used medications and I don't want to risk it.

My little burg has a recycle center that takes oil, antifreeze and even cooking oil.

My county has a hazardous waste dropoff once a month and my local toyota dealer takes old coolant if you tell them you bought your new coolant there and replaced it. They better for what a gallon of Toyota Red costs...
