I went to push on my emergency brake today, and noticed the black hood release cable flopping around. It is still attached to the lever, but there is a black clip that the cable passes through. It looks like it should snap into a bracket somewhere under dash to secure cable. Can anyone tell me/show me where it goes? Thanks.

There should be a cable coming up that has a ball attached to the end. The ball is what holds the cable to the lever.

No. About a foot from that lever, there is a long black clip with a snap that fits somewhere in frame/trim
Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm looking at the cable routing, and right now it's hanging down and interfering with the operation of the parking brake.

Not a bad idea, but I'm in the mountains for the long weekend and don't feel like driving to Gunnison just for a zip tie.
I found a black plastic connector open and shoved it in and closed it. It looks like the right place for it. However, there is a lot of tension on the cable and I would expect that it might snap out again at some point. I routed it in front of the parking brake lever and tucked it up as much as I could. I hope that's right.
