where have all the axles gone?

So I am new to the 4runner world and am gettin parts for a sas but it seems all the axles have disappeared and the ones I have found looked like they came from the bottom of a lake and want almost a grand have I missed something in the last year to make the price shoot up

What are you looking for, 8" fronts? They come up for sale up here now and again, not hard to find at all and definitely not for $1000 each. More like $200-$300 complete, the last couple I've seen.

t4r.org would not be a classifieds section to look for a solid axle lol

By "here" I meant Utah, sorry. I agree with DP, you're not going to find many solid axles looking for a home on T4R.

Remember, they haven't been made since 1985, so they are getting scarce.
But $250 or so is average price.

Location also determines a lot of the price too. Here in colorado it's not uncommon for them to sell upwards of $500. I sold one a while back for $400.
