Which Die Hard Platinum fits best?

It may have come time to replace my battery..... I used to swear by the Optima line and now I may be swearing at it instead.

It started some time ago when my alternator (original) crapped out at 298,405 miles, I ran the battery until it would not longer power my truck (7.8v) and pulled over.

I know the Die Hard Platinum (DHP) is a sister of the Odyssey battery line and was my next choice of battery for the 4Runner, question is which one fits? I guess more importantly which one may fit into the rough stuff specialties optima battery box (may have to ditch it in favor of a standard setup).

I'm running an optima with normal terminals + closest to fire wall and nearest to engine, - closest to firewall and nearest to fender on the drivers side.

Short of the long, which DHP fits the stock location of the 1996-2002 4Runner best?

Go for the p-5, group 35

The terminals match oem. It's taller but your cables should still reach. You might have to get different terminal connectors. Theyre not the same as pictured, but I went for a more oem type connector that connects with the terminal and you put the cables w/ and end connector around a bolt.

I got one I went with a P4 35 Diehard platinum and it fist great no issues with it. Sorry no pic ill get some tomorrow.

I'm considering a few different models, they are all close in size and will require some modifications of my rough stuff specialties optima battery box. Looking at P1, P2, P4, P5 all are close to my optima 8022-091 formerly 12853.

Ended up with the P-1, better numbers than my Red-Top CCA, reserve, etc.

Had to modify the rough stuff specialties optima battery box so that the longer DieHard P-1 fit.
