when I moved to Southern Oregon, I think the 3rd Gen out number the 4Runners. I stepped out of a large factory and realized all 5 gens were in the front row with my 2007 SE. First time to see T-100s.

I just traded a 2017 Tacoma Sport that I only had for 2 months in on a 2017 Offroad and love it. I have had a two Tundras, two tacomas and a 1970's 20R adn this is my favorite Toyota yet!

I've had a 3rd, 4th and 5th gen. I think my favorite was my 3rd gen with manual transmission... wish they would bring that back.

Since it was going to be my daily driver and I like to go on a long road trips (Philly-LA roundtrip) I needed something reasonably low miles. Don't like the looks of 4th gen. 3rd even though reliable I would not take it for a 8000+ miles trip. Ended up with 2010 limited and loving it.

Just got a 2001 SR5 but with an odd package. It seems like Sport stuff, except without the hood scoop. Fat fenders, leather steering wheel and seats (no seat heaters), 16 inch stock-looking wheels...

2nd Gen here. Interestingly enough, I had owned Pathfinders before this. I've now owned my 4runner for 1.5 yr and would never go back! It's old, it's a little beat and has a lot of miles on her. Since buying, I've dumped about $6000 into her....mostly undercarriage. Now I can start to give her some beauty adds. Looking forward to a tube/winch bumper soon.

The 4th/3rd gen majority definitely corresponds to what I've seen on the roads, especially here in NC.
