Which lift to choose?

I have a '04 sr5. Will be pulling a 14' mowing trailer a few days a week.
Which lift is gonna be the most efficient and best bang for my buck since they are both the same price.
I will be running a 17x8.5 set of method racing standard wheel with 0-offset and 4.5 bs. What size tire can I fit?

try the search feature then. All suspension kits have been discussed multiple times on this forum, you need only search to find them. You'll get much more information this way and it'll be much faster than waiting for people to respond to this new thread.

OME = typically for people with extra weight and enjoy offroad

Bilsteins + FJ = people that want lift and OEM comfort but not all that hardcore into offroading.

read through some threads and come to a decision that way. you might even come across kits that you like more.

Toytec will ride better. OME will be slightly firmer. BUT the OME shocks are at least designed for their springs. Personally I think the 600# or 650# springs on the bilsteins 5100 are under damped.

The OME rear shocks are stiffer valves and when weighted I found they controlled the weight better than the bilsteins.

Both are good.

And I noticed on the OME kit it comes with a trim packer for the driver side, and the bilstein one doesn't. Is the spacer/packer a must have? I know some kits do come with a driver side spacer and some don't.
Also the bilstein kit comes with a diff drop and the OME does not. I know in the lift options sticky it says that some think its a waste of money. So do I need a diff drop running either lift or no?

The diff drop isn't needed on the Gen4 trucks

The trim packer is used on the driver front to offset the added weight on the drivers side and make the truck level. Many people don't use them.

If you get a threaded coilover kit you will have more adjustment range.

if you want support towing why not do some rear airbags with a daystar spacer? you can pump up when youve got a load, but ride like stock (if thats what you want) when you arent towing.

I'm kinda new to this. So the bilstein kit is threaded right? Just asking because it said that the fronts are adjustable.
