Which shocks for Tundra/LC lift?

So I have been able to round up some Tundra TRD coils to lift the front and some LC 8 wraps for the rear. I wanted to see which shocks those with the same set-up would recommend. So far my thoughts are...

Front:
OME shocks but which application? Tundra or 4Runner?

Rear:
Bilstein 5125
or OME
or LC coils

Which way should I go? I am open to other suggestions as well!

Also my Tundra TRD springs from an 06 have blue/green and blue/orange markings. Will they work? and which side does each go on? Thanks!

I'd suggest Tundra 5100 for the front, and LC Trekmasters for the back. You don't want to put an OME shock with the tundra coils and you can adjust the height with the 5100's.

It depends on whether you are putting OME coils up front or using the tundra coils. OME works best with OME. For the best ride some Bilstein 5100's with the Tundra coils is best. If you go all OME then that would be good as well.

Think you have the 4x2 tundra coils which I believe will work, not 100% sure tho. Search your color codes on them. Check out this article:

You will have massive rake if you install only tundra coils with 8 wrap LC coils.
These are what I used to solve that issue:

Most people just use LC replacement shocks to go with LC coils. Like SC said a popular brand that is cheap are the tokico trekmasters for a mid 90's land cruiser. Just make sure any shocks you get are eye to stud mount.

Only use the Bilstein 5100 for a 2000-2006 Tundra. The tacoma shocks are too soft. You can even use the rear Bilstein 5100's for a 2000-2006 Tundra for the rear of the 4runner.

The recommended shocks on Toytec's site are the same for both Tacoma and 4runner, D558.

I'm running them and I definitely don't think they are too soft. They preload the spring and if anything the tundra coil with these shocks feel a tiny bit stiff IMHO. Might be just perfect with the 4x2 springs.. but reading that article I posted from Ult Yota it sounds like they might be pretty close or actually the same..? Be nice if someone would comment that has tundra coils other than yy/yb.

Thanks a ton everyone. It looks like I will be going with bilsteins all the way around. Forgot to mention I will adding a top plate spacer so there is a ittle less rake. Now to just figure out which color Tundra spring goes on which side...

BUMP NE1 using the TRD HDs w/ TRD coils?

Im not looking for more then the 2"s of lift proved by the TRD coils. Also what abou the red/blue bilsteins or the blue tokicos
feedback...please?

^Bamachem used the red/blue Bilsteins for the 2wd TRD Tundras and really liked the ride. He said it was the best set up with the TRD coils (don't think he used 5100's at the time of his article though).
