Which Transmission to Purchase? 2000 4runner auto elock

Hello,

I have a 2000 4runner Limited, Auto with E-Locker.

Trying to figure out which transmission to purchase... I searched by my VIN# All of them on the Toyota Parts website says they will fit my 4runner.

However, they are all different prices and have differing part numbers.

They also have different identifying codes as well:
VZN185..4FC*105 , VZN185..4FC , VZN180*105

I have no clue which one to pick out and they are all different prices. Please if anyone can help it is you guys!

Try plugging in your info here.
It filters down so you need to know engine, trim level and your model code on your inside door jam sticker.
Even after all of that, chances are the trans is discontinued from Toyota being 21 years old now.

You have a 'mid-generation' transmission, or the 99-00 style transmission and valve body. Getting one for those years will be a direct swap although 'early generation' transmissions from 96-98 will also work. From the same website you searched, the compatible transmissions that I saw would be:

Reman Transmission A - 350103D55084 - Compatible with years 96-00
Transmission Assembly - 350103D77084 - Compatible with years 98-00 (and probably 96-97)

It would be best before ordering to call the Toyota dealer you are purchasing from and confirm fitment by providing your VIN. Sometimes the Toyota listings don't specify between 2WD and 4WD, although these two transmissions did not mention fitting any 2WD models like the others do.

Avoid purchasing any transmissions that are for the 01-02 years as the valve body is different and do not have the necessary engine linkage.
