I lost track over the Summer and missed the pre-orders... just curious to see who has ordered. I'm impatiently awaiting email notifications of additional pre-orders. :hungry:

Been using the 360 mostly for Netflix and ESPN3, not really thrilled with Xbox ONE, may get one of these to replace it eventually.

There are no real console specific games to the 360 I'd miss on the PS4.

Yeah I never could get beyond the subscription for online play with Xbox... who do they think they are, AOL?

Just curious, but what is the big upgrade in this system? Keep in mind that I'm not a huge gamer. I've got a PS3, but don't have many games for it. Seems like every generation of PS was sort of following a trend in technology. PS1 was a cd-rom, PS2 was DVD, PS3 is a blu-ray. The PS4 is on blu-ray too, right?

Thanks bofa, but that might as well be hieroglyphics. The only thing I really understand at a quick glance is that it's going to be significantly faster.

In other words, vast increases to improve performance all around. But if you are just using it for Blu-ray and the occasional game, the PS3 is fine. I'll probably put the PS3 in another room and have the PS4 in whichever room I plan to do more gaming in.

So, they will be releasing new games onto both platforms?

That I'm not sure of and will depend on the companies that produce them. I would be surprised if new titles are produced for PS3 long term. I imagine it will play out much like the PS2 -> PS3 change.

Pre-Ordered mine the day they announced the price, traded my 360, games, 6 controllers (PS3 and 360's) so all I have left right now is my PS3 and a few games for it along w/ 2 controllers and my PC that I game off of.

I’m ordering a PS4. I have been a pretty die hard XBOX fan boy since the original, but after the crap they pulled on announcement day I wash my hands of them. Even if they did reverse the no used games, no always on internet requirement etc. They went to far for what they are offering, which is essentially a supped up xbox 360.
