Who is near Pittsburgh Pa (possible meet and greet)

Post up if you are near Pittsburgh PA. Maybe in the near future we could do a 4Runner meet and greet at an area bar or restraunt?

I'm 30 miles north of Pittsburgh near Butler PA

The north park lounge is a decent spot out your way.

I'd definitely be down to meet up for some drinks. NPL is right by my house, but I'm happy to travel as well, Cranberry also is a good place to meet up :yo:
 
I live in the south hills, but I'm not afraid to go through a tunnel or cross a bridge f it comes to that.
 
I'm near Wexford, but won't actually be a 4runner owner until maybe June. It's on order and allocated, but it's going to be a while yet.
 
There are a few of us near Johnstown. I know we'd probably be willing to come down given a notice. We love road trips!
 
99.5% of owners wouldn't even know this site existed. Although we like our vehicles, they are just another SUV to most people.

Any of you yinzers interested in some light offroading this Sunday? I'll be going up to Rock Run park for their Toys for Tots event. I'm taking my 4th gen and will be sticking with the easy trails, unless the moderate ones look too inviting...

Sorry for the hi-jack but have you ever been to Rock Run before? Been looking for some semi-local places to take my 4R off road.
 
Yes, I went a few years ago just after they first opened up the non-atv trails. It was a good time. I ran the easy and moderate trails in my 3rd gen with no problems or damage. It's definitely worth checking out. I want to check out Doe Valley near Johnstown soon. I hear good things about that place.
 
Don't bother with Rock Run. The trails were boring, unmaintained, poorly marked, half of them were closed, some simply ended in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't be surprised if they closed them all permanently soon.
Now, if you're an atv / side-by-side guy, then it's different. That's the crowd they are there for.

There was a time, though... lived in far eastern Ohio, and Pittsburgh was our go-to 'big city'... In fact, I bought my 4R from Kenny Ross Toyota In Moon Twp.

Some good off road opportunities in Jefferson County, Ohio and surroundings - only about 30 minutes from Pittsburgh. Map out the abandoned Beagle Club Road / TR 241 near Richmond Ohio (16 water crossings, IIRC), as one example... never did the 'pay to play' deal, there's enough fun dirt in the Appalachian hills to have lots of adventures, just grab a Delorme and a GPS.
