Who’s getting the biggest discounts on TRD Pros

$2,500 off my wife’s Cavalry Blue and $2,500 off my Super White. I also received $2,500 off my Cement TRD Pro Tundra. All from the same local dealer.I'm in line for the first Army Green 4Runner they receive.

No special circumstances really. I had been looking for a Pro for a couple months on and off, went to a dealer but they didn't have one in blue, went to another dealer a couple weeks later and they had the one I wanted on the lot, though missing a couple unimportant things (like the USB ports in the back) but not a big deal.

I met with them three separate times to negotiate pricing. I used to do cold call sales so the salesman game is nothing new to me. I also knew the dealership either makes money on markup OR monthly bonuses for volume of vehicles sold, so I played the volume angle and convinced them to let me have the break instead of pushing their markup. They used the standard line 'What price would you want to take this truck home today?' several times, and I aggressively pushed for the far low so they had to work their way back up from my range, not theirs.

Between that, $7500 down and a 4k trade-in, I'd say we're in good shape!

Nice!

I guess that all depends on what the 4k trade-in was. They'll sell you something for a good discount if they gain something on a trade.

I would love to see the sales invoice on that one.

Better yet they took a Jeep Patriot off your hands. That's a win-win in my book!!!

Yep 85k miles and already having trans issues. It was fun for the time I had with it - bought it overseas and travelled lots of Europe in it, good size for European streets/parking (4R would have a hell of a time), and that was also a pre-family vehicle, so yeah we're waaaaay better off now.

I got a 2019 TRD Pro in VooDoo Blue in April. Final price was $44,499. I have yet to pay TTL so not sure what that will end up being but really irrelevant because that will differ state to state. I used Autotrader to find the cheapest advertised price in the country then called dealers closer to me until I found one to beat the lowest price on Autotrader. Only called 3 dealers until I got my number. No trade in.

Nice! Even if TTL gets steep(ish) you're still getting a hell of a deal. Very good!

For us it was going to be about $500 for TTL but they waived it because we're military and have our home-of-record still as IL, so they did all the paperwork for Illinois.
