Width of roof rack crossbars.

Haven't picked up my new 5th Gen. 4Runner yet. In anticipation, I'm looking at Thule rooftop boxes to sit on the factory crossbars. Could someone please tell me the width measurement on the factory cross bars?

IIRC you also need to be alert to the fin in the back and the box length, if you're going to set it on the oem bars.

I wouldn't waist the thanks.

More like .... Bitter table for one.

We are here to help each other. I'm on a lot of forums for all kinds of stuff and I have to say this is the only one where people are out right rude. It's kind of sad.

Back to the OP's question. I have Yakima bars with whar ever clamp grabs the factory rail. I think my bars are 48in and they are a perfect fit. They only stick out an inch or two from the factory rail.

I know it's not Thule but I can measure and sent a pic if that helps.
