Go on tirerack.com, it says 24s do fit, needs 295 35 r24 tires. 22s is big enough, go in the pimp zone and look for the silver 4th gen on 24s.

He's just messing with you, some members think modding for off-road purposes is the only reason to mod.

There are several members here, including riceandpho, whitebeauty, and skylinegtrracer, who have significantly modded their 4runners in the opposite direction of the mainstream here and still have excellent results. There's also still plenty of info here about things you can use that aren't off-road only.

It's an anti-performance mod and reduces the performance of every aspect of the truck but to each his own.

so many haters, some of these trucks on here are just poser and mall crawlers too. but some dont care since it looks off road with big tires and lift. the only thing i hate with my 22s 285 40 r22 tires, is that if im on a road with lots of defects, not smooth, lots of cracks and uneven, i can feel every bit of it. even on the freeway, my truck drags in it.

Oh yeah, posers all around but at least the faux off road guy's trucks still can serve their purpose and just moved the performance to off road. Oversize wheels hinder acclereration, braking, mpgs and handling all just to have the "look". Just not my cup of tea as I put performance first then consider the looks.

Now now guys no need to be mean. I will say that a lot of people mod their 4R for mud and go balls to walls and never touch mud so i mean its same way for people with rims and supercharger yada yada. Everybody has a reason for doing what they do to their truck so let it be. In other words. I dont see why 24s wouldnt fit, may not be the smoothest ride cause of the tire that you will have to run (wont be much tire) best of luck

I just don't like the giant shiny "gangsta" rims, you want spinners with that?

Anything over 20" is just too big. Hell even semi wheels aren't over 20"

But, 24's should fit if barely.

With the proper tires and offset, any size will fit.

I planned on 24" in the rear of my bagged 5G, but I just picked up a TE so I'm selling the bagged truck

wow,

so many haters on here...

sorry, but off road aint my thing, I do believe according to wikapedia it states

quote"

Fourth generation (2002–2009)

The fourth-generation 4Runner incorporated serious changes to the chassis and body of the vehicle, but was targeted at approximately the same demographics as the third generation. Based on the Land Cruiser Prado 120 series, the new 4Runner retained the same basic exterior styling themes, and was still marketed as a mid-size semi-luxury SUV with off-road capabilities

end quote.

hope you read that ... marked as a mid sized semi "LUXURY "
w off road capabilities...

so if wanna put 24"s on my 08 limited I can or off road knobby tires ...

so dont hate...

and by the way, where I come from .

its "RIMS"...

seams like some of you pple are just as much haters as for when I go on supramania for my supra....

was just curious if anyone had any pix of 24's on their ride ....

thanks.

WILL

wow, not only do you hate,

but your racist ...

, I am black so yo know ....

That wasn't racism. He was just pointing out a generalization that people with big wheels on their cars like listening to rap.

But as was said earlier, they will fit.
