Will a 1st Gen tacoma bumper fit on a 3rd Gen 4Runner??

okay so here is what i want to do i been looking around at bumpers for my Runner but don't seem too see any that i really like then i came across this All-pro Apex bumper for the Tacoma and i know that the body/frames are almost the same so my question is will it bolt up easy or make some brackets to make it fit?? this is the bumper i am thinking of going with but without the hoops ill have something custom made for the hoops!!

they are almost all the same i know i would order them without the hoops and no powder coat so i can have some custom hoops made to fit the way i like them, but for some reason that the all-pro is more work im still leaning towards it for some reason dont know why!!

You've got me curious as well. That is a great looking bumper. Maybe it's the pic of the truck it's mounted on but damn, I like it.

vI'ver seen one of those bumpers in person. They look awesome! Like your all saying I'd do my own design of hoops though

That is a good looking bumper. Funny you guys all would do the hoops differently, I'm not usually a fan of hoops on any bumper, but for some reason these don't bother me. May just be that truck's setup with fenders etc though. Probably wouldn't look as right on our 4runners.

But does anyone know the answer to the question yet!? I've been very curious about this too because most tacoma bumpers I find are nearly half the cost of 4runner bumpers and way more companies make them. Would a 1st gen tacoma rear bumper fit also?

That is All-Pro's relatively new plate bumper design. You can find a ton more info on ttora about it. I'll post a link which will probably have some decent pics as soon as I find one.

Edit*** Looks like you'll have to cut your frame off flush with the front body mounts...see 3rd pic http://www.ttora.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2324845&postcount=12

Has anyone tried calling all pro?? I wished that would fit because i would have that without a doubt....my problem is i cant find a bumper i like...i really like this one and i like the Elite bumper for the 1st gen Tacoma as well...

Look at the pics I posted above. You will have to cut your frame flush with the front body mounts if you want to make it fit.

is there any pictures of how far it will need to be cut or anything more detailed?? as i am n00b to these bumper mounts

Yes and no, 4runner frames and just a little bit longer up front, but you can cut it to make it fit, and the bumper bracket are just a little bit wider but a BFH can fix that, and we do have the AC line where tacos don't how do i know? because this bumper is on my truck

Rear bumpers aren't even close between the two. 4runner's come with body mounted bumpers. The back is shaped different and you need space for the hatch to open.

Do you have anymore pictures of how you have done it or any close ups?? I'm just trying to get as much info so when I do go with it it won't be a big pain in the rear job not knowing anything what to do.

If i was you i won't even bother with a Allpro bumper, im not afaird to offend so i'll just say it. ALLPRO SUCKS! they bumper is thin as hell, weak structure, weak mounting points. everything they do is half assed. If i were you i get a outdoor logic, 600 bucks.

You know I have heard that one before where it's weak stuff but others say there good. What's the real thing
