Winch installed and …

Installed a winch yesterday did the measurements and the it sagged 3/4 inch. From 23 to 22-1/4 inch. I’m running toytec ultimate lift kit with adjustable coilovers ( old version) The question is should I adjust them to go back to 23 inch maybe 23-1/2 or go with bilstein 6112 as an upgrade. What do you think?

3/4 inch is not that bad hopefully it’s not gonna gag more, and of course i will use the winch the thing is that besides winch I also have slimline steel bumper and heavy sliders, that’s why I’m not sure if those coilovers will handle all the weight.

Your call. We went with 700 lb coils with our coilovers because we knew the bumper and winch were coming soon. I’d probably leave it unless it really bugs you.

As others have mentioned, you just have to upgrade to heavier coils if you don't mind the rake.

Now, whether or not you 'NEED" to upgrade your coils, is find the crappiest road near you with lots of potholes, and see if you bottom out easily. If you do, then you probably need to upgrade your coils. another way, is to push up and down on your bumper, and if its easy to move up and down with just your body weight..you probably need to upgrade your coils. Or go offroading, and if you get thrown all over the inside of your car like a pinada..you need to upgrade your coils...lol.

Look at Eibach. They are available in 650# or 700# depending on what other weight you have. However, I had those coil overs some years ago and I though they came with a 650# coil? That's how I ended up with 700# on my rig. I think there is a part number stamped on the coils you could look up

Here are my backup 6112’s I have 650# King springs mounted.

I had the same problem. I have the same lift that you do also. I was able to switch out the steel cable for a synthetic line and I gained back my sag from the weight difference.

Although not the OP, thanks for the info/answers as well. I spent some time over on the Taco forums and there’s a 6112 coil upgrade “debate” over 650’s and 700’s. Looks like Bilstein doesn’t recommend the 700’s unless you have the 8112 coils, but... apparently Eibach 700’ will work. [emoji848]...isn’t Bilstein also Eibach?

This is my big fear, I just installed a OME 3 inch lift with heavy springs for that reason. I am nervous that it's going to sag and then I will have to spend more money for another lift.

So what’s considered “heavy” in OME? 600, 650, 700? Cause I have the same “fear” ... buying another lift. (I’ve thought about just loading down the arse end with stuff... maybe cheaper!)
