Window visor recommendations

Looking to get a pair of window visors/deflectors/rain guards for my 4runner (all 4 windows) and wondering if there's a consensus on the best option?

I naturally went to weathertech, and they've got the set for $160 CDN.

Initially I very much like/prefer the in-window visors as I didn't really want to use stick-on visors... but I've also never used them before so not sure which is better? I've heard the in-window can cause issues for the window up power function is that an outdated problem or still present?

I went with Weathertech. Now that they've settled in they're very nice and don't interfere with the window movement. I like them a lot and I'm a big fan of the smoked look rather than jet black.

You'd think these would be... so basic and simple, yet people have sworn by AVS others suggest avoiding them at all cost... and ultimately, same with weathertech.

Those are quiksnap sunshades, they make nice bugscreens and vent pretty well too, they are slip fit into the window frame so you really can't drive with the windows down more than they are in the picture. They are mostly just to keep the blazing desert sun off you on road trips :)
 
I like my in-channel AVS vents. I originally had this set on my 2018 I traded in but pulled them off and put them on this one. The factory tape kinda sucked when on the 2018, but reinstalling with gorilla double sided tape did the trick nicely. I should probably take some time to trim the excess off but... meh.

The inside view isn’t too obtrusive with the windows down either.

i like my weathertechs and idk if it’s just me, but the only thing i hate is that my rear passenger visor has fallen off about 3 times in the two years i’ve owned it.

ive cleaned the channel completely well and that is the only side i have any issues with.

on the plus side weather tech has replaced that visor without issue all 3 times.
 
If you were anywhere near SoCal I'd hook you up with a free set of Weathertech in-channel ones. I have an extra set because of some small chips on the fronts that won't be visible once installed. I don't know if it will cause an issue or not, but heck... if someone in SoCal want's 'em... send me a message.

I've always used AVS in my vehicles. My first set (in 1995) was the stick on and they looked kinda trashy. Since then I have had many sets of in channel and they have all worked flawlessly until my 4R. The rear ones sometimes trip the safety mechanism. It's not a big deal as it has only done it a few times in the couple years I've had them. I chalk it up to the toytota safety mechanism being more sensitive than other manufactuers.
 
I had AVS "stick on" on all my 4Runners (including current one) -never an issue… and with my OCD I do not have to think about possible interference and\or Windows channel damage.
 
Yeah, thinking I'm leaning towards the stick-on. Why would they make stick-on low profile AND "regular"? Why would you actually want the non-low profile ones?
 
I have always used stick ons in the past (knock on wood with no issues)...not because I believe one is better than other since I have no experience with in channel ones but because I am OCD about something being inside the channel other than the window itself.

Mine are low profile. I am 99% sure the "regular" have a bit larger coverage and stick out further from the window. Like these:
