Windshield squirters, LOW pressure.

Low enough that the stream barely makes it to the windshield. It usually just leaves a blue puddle on my hood. I visually inspected the lines, they don't look pinched anywhere. Have y'all ever had this problem. Anyone know how to fix it? I can't say I've ever heard of this problem on ANY car. I tried to search but there's a million threads that have mentioned windshield.

Mine used to suck! Go to Toyota and buy some new nozzles, the part that's on the hood and that should fix it.

Really? The nozzles? See, that's the last thing I expected it to be. I'm glad I asked here! I'll try cleaning mine out first, then replace if that doesn't help.

Yeah you could try a vinegar soak or something like that at first. I think they're about $15 and take maybe 5 minutes to put on. Hopefully this works out for ya.

Opinion here, just get new nozzles. I tried cleaning mine out (gen 3) and it would be fine and then clog up soon afterwards annoyingly so I bought new ones. Been good for years.

I tried that and it didn't work for me.

Glad someone posted this, I've got the same problem.

I tried soaking my nozzles in vinegar already and it didn't work, neither did the pin thing. I thought it must be something with the system. Time to buy a new nozzle.

I have good luck using a sewing needle to clean the nozzles out as well as aim them, usually they clog because of hard water deposits or algae (depending on what mixture of windshield washer fluid you use and climate, ect.)

I suspect the pump is failing, its located on the bottom of the washer fluid bottle, accessible if you take the inner fender liner on the passenger side off. Its like $30-40 last time I checked, pops in and out.

Easy to remove tank and all. Four bolts two hoses. The filler neck just pullout. Check for chunks the the reservoir. Clean it out along with lines. I think the pump also has a small screen on it to keep the big stuff out.

A brute force fix that has worked for me a couple times (in slushy travel conditions):
Go to one of those "put a bunch of quarters in to turn on the high pressure car wash wand places" and blast out the reservoir. They are tough enough to take it.

You mean just open the refill lid and stick the pressure washer in there?

Worth a shot I guess? I mean if the windshield washer pump is failing, its not like you can make it worse?

FIXED IT! I opened the hood and it squirted out with full pressure so I unclipped teh hose at teh hinge and gave it a little slack and it works like new. I wish I would have tried that before I bought the squirters, now I feel dumb.
