Winter Wonderland: Nelson B.C. - Christmas Eve 2011

Sorry guys, no T4R pics as I opted to drive the Corolla and save some money on the pump with my recent trip to the mountains.

I was bored and admittedly, hung over today. So in the need for some fresh air and a recent snowfall, I went out and snapped a few shots. Hope these inspire those of you who are not so fortunate to have a white Christmas this year. Hope you enjoy, Merry Christmas!

Sweet pics!

Surprisingly, I'm a lot of hours north of there and we barely have a white Christmas. Everything has almost melted as we've had a crazy warm winter so far.

How is it out there? I'm gonna be going from Calgary to Revelstoke on the 28th and then down to Nelson to hit up Whitewater before visiting the family down in Rossland. Just wondering if you plan on hitting the mountain while you're there. Would like to know if it's worth stopping for a day. Been a bad winter so far for snowfall in the rockies and kootenay's especially.

Would not want to be a Lineman there, definitley would not get a material handler in that alley to change a transformer... Cool pictures though.

Thanks and no problem. I heard Lethbridge is +12 degrees C today, not really Christmas weather!

I have heard they have pretty decent snowfall up at Whitewater, more than you would suspect considering the lack of, down low. I won't be on the hill this Christmas unfortunately.... Have fun on your trip!

Funny, cause my uncle and my cousin are both Linemen here in Nelson. I am sure it's a nightmare when they have to work in that back alley. Thanks for the compliments!

Great pics Rick. The fog and low clouds that you guys get up there definitely are NOT a detriment to your efforts.

I was struck by the fact that all of your subjects are just ordinary objects and scenes, but the composition of your photos turns them into things of beauty.
