Wiring Question

So I bought an OEM Autodimming rear view mirror off eBay, and I can't figure out which wires is ground and power, there is a red/blue wire and a black/white wire, but I have no idea which is which

My plan is to get a fuse tap and hook it up to an accessory 12volt turned on by the key, and run the ground to the proper grounding bolt.

My question is which wire is the ground or power, I'm thinking it matters but I'm not into wiring, and does my plan sound good about tapping into an accessory 12 volt with a fuse tap?

You mean the mirror has a red/blue wire and a black/white wire? Did it come with any wiring instructions? I would assume the red/blue is hot and black/white is ground. The wiring diagram for the autodimming mirror shows hot wire (yellow) coming from 15A fuse for IG1 and ground (black/white) . Fuse tap to IG1 wire should be fine.

The photo is from the 2003 4runner wiring diagram; your wires may be different colors. Don't forget to check and double check all wires before making final connections.
