While I was driving my fan clutch broke along with the belts causing my 3.0 95 4Runner to overheat. I replaced all that was broken but the vehicle won't go over 500 rpm and if I let of the gas it will completely shut off, intermittently it will get up to 2000 rpm for a few seconds. I'm somewhat at a loss of where to trouble shoot but any help will be appreciated.

Overheating is not good for our motors, sounds like you have a major issue

yeah i'd have to agree.... over heating is not good for any mechanical machine. I hate to say it but your motor may be bad. Regardless i wouldn't turn it on again until you open the motor up to prevent further damage. Just my .02 man, sorry to hear the misfortune.
