Would a 5th gen TRD ORP make a decent Daily Driver?

Yea, it's killing everybody. Used cars are as much as new, repairs on an out of warranty car are hilariously expensive for anything major...there's no relief.

However, I guess it could be worse. People spend the same amount of money on a Sport Wrangler Unlimited with literally no features and questionable reliability vs a TRDOR. The fact that both are $45k vehicles is absolutely insane to me and it's because they both hold value so well. You want a 1500 pickup truck with 4 doors and 4x4? Good luck getting under $50k for even lower optioned models. Same issue though, they hold value. It's crazy and only getting worse.

What is the warranty the 4Runners come with new? If there's anything left, I would HOPE they're transferable, especially since a lot of these later model year Used 4Runners are Toyota Certified. A good thing is the dealer here in S.F. is right down the street from the shop that has done all the work on our '99 4R since we bought it in 2004. I totally trust them to inspect anything I purchase from the dealer while it's within the return window.

New is 5 year/60k on powertrain, 3 year 36k otherwise.

CPO is 1 year/12k everything and is 7 year/100k powertrain from original date of purchase.'

I believe they are transferable.

CPO and the Factory Powertrain should cover most everything, I would think. We drive less than 10K a year.
