Would you buy this?

I came across this 4Runner for sale in the region and I'm seeking some advice as to whether or not this would be a good buy... I'm not actively looking for a 2nd gen/Classic but wouldn't mind one at a good price.

So, would you buy this, and if so, how much would you offer? Thanks!!

White 1995 T4R SR5 V6 with 4WD. Stick Shift with 263K miles, has some receipts of maintenance... The clutch, water pump, belts, brakes, injectors, are recently replaced (according to the description)...

The only photo I could get of it was with my cheap cell phone, apologies for the photo...Have not driven it, it does have some minor rust but nothing that bad. Rear axle seal is leaking, since there is oil leaking from the center of the rear axle.

Current posted price is $3200 obo (down from $3500). I feel like I might be able to talk him down considering the axle leaking, the high price, and the broken radio whip.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks guys!

3.0 - my 3rd gen has a 3.4. Is the 3.4 also dreaded slow?

Even that seems high.

I wouldn't pay over 2 unless it really felt good on the road. ThenI might go up to 2250.

Compare your 3.4 to a stock 2.7... thats about the difference.

Oh, and add in head gasket failure and poor mileage.

Sounds like I'll be passing on this one; like I said, not actively looking, just thought it might be a good deal for my brother who is interested in a vehicle soon.

Blah!!! Nothing wrong with the 3.0. Good engine if well cared for.

Agree about the price though. Anything more than $2500 for a 2nd gen is almost too hig unless it has extremely low miles and zero rust.
