Would you get this dodge ram 1500?

2004 Dodge Ram 1500 2dr Reg Cab 140.5in WB ST LEXINGTON PARK | Fitzgerald Auto Mall

According to carfax it was a commercial owned fleet car and I know that that is not a good thing because on fleet most of the fleet use cars aren't really cared after. Anyways 5k for an 04 ram 1500. Yes or no? I like it. Its a simple truck. regular cab with I am guessing LWB because the bed looks long and its rwd according to the description which is okay I guess. So what do you guys think?

Typically fleet vehicles are pretty well maintained. The company that uses a fleet of trucks wants them to go through regular oil changes on time, has all minor repairs done etc. They have to avoid any lawsuits and issues if an employee has any accidents/incidents. Also maintenance is usually pretty well documented for the same reasons.
I had a buddy in the windshield repair business and he would make killing with the fleet vehicles, as they had to meet all safety standards, all the time.
That said, this truck looks, from afar, to be pretty well cared for. I would look for any rust issues and get a good maintenance report.

Truck is in Maryland? Do they use salt on the roads? Ask for multiple under carriage pics. 2004 Model year in salt environment could be near dead. Same truck from California or Arizona would have lots of life left. Description says its a fixer upper. I'd find out what their definition of fixer upper would be.

If planning to tow, ask for a Pic of the Vin plate info inside the driver door jam. Be sure truck is rated for your needs.

Sorta, because I know fleet vehicle they use there cars like running them for long, I work for a company that I have a vehicle for and it was hard to get new tires even when I needed all 4 and my boss would not be willing to get new tires and when he did get the tires he went for the cheapest of the cheap they were linglong tires from ntb which was like $80 per tire. Not all fleet vehicle are maintained the same. Plus not all workers that use fleet vehicles take good care of them.

Yup, MD does use salt when snow. Yeah I plan on checking the bottom. for 5k its not bad though right. Ill get it to a garage that can check whats wrong with it.
