I am also, like many others, looking for a 4Runner in the 1999-2002 range. I am looking for a vehicle to convert into an Overland Expedition rig, or buy one that is already lifted and converted. My preferences are 1999-2000 Limited with E-Locker, 01-02 Limited, and possibly a Sport (I am willing to add lockers if I have to).

Most important to me are reasonable miles and price, and a good strong frame/body. Extensive off-roading induces a lot of frame twist, so a no rust, solid frame is important. Not worried about dents in bumpers as they will be replaced. I hope to find a vehicle with good service records, especially pertaining to belt/pump replacement. Non smoking vehicles are a plus.

I live in Arizona, so local or neighboring states are preferred, but I am willing to consider any viable vehicle. I have cash waiting to go! PM me if you have what I am looking for, or know of someone that does.

99 Ltd w/ rear damage

Hey, I live pretty far from you and my rig might not be what you are looking for, but I figure maybe you would still be interested. I have been driving (and loving) my '99 limited for about seven years, but was rear-ended pretty badly a couple weeks ago. It's a green and grey V6 4WD with a locking rear-differential, sunroof, no rust and a solid frame. It has less than 170k and the engine runs strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. Everything from the rear wheels forward is in good shape, but the lift gate and rear bumper are trashed. The rear driver's side quarter panel likely needs replacing as well. The rear window is still in tact and everything is water-tight. No lights got broken so it's still legal to drive, but it definitely needs some serious attention. I am looking to let it go for around $2,500 or I will probably end up fixing it up myself. Let me know if you are interested and I can post some pics and give you more information if you'd like.

I have a 1997 V6 4x4 manual trans with 160k on rocky mountain craigslist for sale if your interested. I'm looking to get 9700 for it. Its clean rust free colorado truck.

I looked at your build thread. Do you have any pics of the frame/undercarriage? Most of the vehicles I've looked at from Pa., NY. area have extensive rust. I need a good frame for a project. Hope you can post some pics

I have a 1999 4runner Highlander 4x4, with a supercharger that I sold about a year ago to my sister in law to take to college. She is thinking about selling it when she gets home next week. Life long California truck.

Let me know if youre interested. Should have about 160k on it. No locker though.

Post some pics when she gets back if she is interested in selling. I can always install a locker
 
Just had the head gaskets done. I believe that included the timing belt and water pump replacement as well, but I will have to verify when she gets back this weekend. 99% sure she is ready to sell.

Has right around 165k on it.
