Hello out there -
I have just purchased a 1988 with, unfortunately, the 3.0 v6. This is for my son as his first car and we are interested in making it back to stock and a nice as possible so we can have it for years (even when he decides to get a different car, the 4runner will become my wife's daily driver.
So, in that spirit, we have several items that we need to get to get the vehicle back to a really reliable stock condition, can anyone help...
- interior is grey and need top trim (completely missing)
- center console with rear heater controls
- dash (usual cracks)
- radio console with original radio if possible (been cut up for aftermarket stereo)
- driver door control cover SR5
- exterior is black, but was light blue and will be again
- need top side windows and trim
- rear chrome bumper
- front valance and side bumpers
- rear window motor and lock
- front chrome bumper
- SR5 badge for tailgate
- original stock wheels for SR5 model. The alloys, I think?
- the stripe decals (silver, to go with the light blue color). Need for both sides and hood.
That is about it for now. And, if anyone has any advice on what to do about the original engine, please advise. I have the 3.0 v6 and am thinking about replacing it with a new or reman long block. Any thoughts on vendors or upgrades I should include?
