I am in need of the two front seats for a '96- early '98. Specifically a '97. Toyota made changes in '98. Mine are starting to tear at the front left seam. I need the manual sport seat in moon mist cloth. As close to perfect as possible. No tears or rips. I'm in St. Louis area.

This picture shows the color and weave I need.

Have you considered swapping the bottom of the left seat with the right. Some people have done that. I did it a few years ago and the passenger seat bottom on the driver side felt like a new seat. Plus it puts that tear on the passenger side next to the console, and out of sight somewhat.

Thanks for your reply. Swapping seat bottoms may give me a good driver seat, but I would still have a torn seam on the passenger seat.

I may have found a repair service locally that can come out to the vehicle and do a repair to the seam. The tread broke in the seam not a fabric tear, so it may be an easy repair.

Although a good pair of front seats would be good too.

cheers,

Why don't you have them reupholstered or you can buy new cloth bottoms from the dealer.

I have looked into buying new covers from Toyota, but they are no longer available for the '96 to early '98.

I have not talked to someone to reupholster the seats and then if I did what would they use for covers? Most likely something that would not match.

So... I am looking for a pair of OEM seats in good condition.
