They're coming off the prototype stage with this group buy. The tie-downs will be available separately but I can't directly speak to when that'll be.

Apex Overland will be coordinating the retail sales of these once they're fully out in the wild.

Would it be possible to pick up battery at any batteries plus? Otherwise it kinda kills it for non-locals. Also seeing $27 core charge for the X2power 31M vs others that are only $18 on their site.

for 4th gen , when putting this group 31m in the x2 and northstar brand will need to be modify. the positive post will be ok, the negative post will hit the hood. i took my negative post out and bolted the wires directly.

Apex Overland has been running the first prototype since March in his 4R.

I'll grab a picture of the base and top together later today. They'll come powdercoated black, we've been spray painting the tops ourselves in different colors. Mine's currently blue.

Yea, being able to do a local pickup here at batteries+ and avoid the shipping would make this viable for a lot more folks. But I can understand if that gets messy in their franchise.

I was just looking at the batteries plus site and they're offering a 10% off online orders with pickup in store, coupon code CDP10047. I ran it through the cart and it took $40 off the price. Plus there's still also the $30 mail in rebate.

I agree with you that focusing this gb only on the mount kit alone would reach a lot more folks. Including the battery with the understandably expensive shipping is unfortunately killing it for non locals.

The current rebate is $30 and if you order online and pickup in store you can get 10% off....so $330 is basically what you can get the battery for at any batteries plus. No shipping fee. Exchange an old battery and no $18 core charge.

You'll have to decide if the tie down cage is worth that much to you...
