2007 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition Lift
5 years and I am still very satisfied with it. Cost benefit cannot be beat. For MY purpose it is great. I am not using this vehicle to off road much at all though. I do agree though that if you are building a rig that will see much trail use then you would be better served by something else. You should evaluate your intended usage and buy accordingly.

Its going to depend on a few factors;
-What are you doing with the vehicle (Mild Off-road, Heavy off-road use, only street driving, ect)
-Age & condition of the XREAS System
-Compotent removal and installation of the XREAS components. (Improper removal or installation can render the system useless.)
-Funding
The XREAS system is a great tool on-road it really firms up the 4Runner compared to a regular 4Runner. That said, its down right brutal and horrible off-road. I went off-roading with my stock suspension in my '04 Sport and it was a very harsh ride with not as much benefit as you see on-road.
The spacer lift and taller springs will affect suspension geometry and would best go with a new UCA to bring the alignment back within factory specifications. (The cheapest set of UCA are like $450 IIRC) Chances are they may increase wear on the XREAS system due to added stress of different spring rate and compression from the spacer lift, but most people seem to get by okay.
Condensed version; XREAS Good on Road when working, Off-road XREAS stock and/or lift bad.

Keeping the XREAS for now, adding daystar 2.5 & 1.5, thinking about FJ Rear coils to up the load capacity a little w/out removing XREAS. what do you think? (no new coils on the front, daystar 2.5 only )

I ran this exact setup for a while. I will be selling FJ rears shortly if you're interested. It worked fine. I just wanted something stiffer and the shocks needed to be replaced so I went eibach/5100 all around
Sound good to me, how much were you asking for your springs, and what size tires were you running? I would like to fit 285/65r18, but might have to stick with 275/65r18s.

Shoot me a PM and we'll talk price. I would not advise 285s with stock front springs and the DS kit. I rubbed with 265/75/16's (or 265/65/18 - 32's).
