Yet another lifted 4Runner - Cornfed 3/2 with Wrangler 285s

The wife wanted bigger tires on her ride, so this weekend I installed a 3" spacer lift on her 4Runner and bought a set of 285s. The whole thing turned out better than I expected.

Nah, my truck is still bigger, but I do think I will have to drive the 4Runner to work a couple of times this week to 'work out the kinks.' :wink2:

Haven't done any trimming yet, but I do have a little bit of rubbing in the front. I need to take a good look and see just how much trimming needs to be done. Hopefully it is not much.

I know this is an old thread but are these 33's? what did you end up doing as far as trimming is concerned?

Yeah, these are roughly 33", but a little wider than a standard 33x10.50r15. I didn't actually do any trimming... I unbolted the front inner fender and moved it slightly. I also removed the front mud flaps. I do still have some slight rubbing on the rear of the fender, but only if it's cranked hard and I hit some bumps. I just take it slow when the wheel is cranked all the way and it's not an issue. I may trim a little back there if I can ever get my hands on a dremmel.

no rubbing on UCA's? I have very little rubbing up front too, i was just gonna move my liner forward, sounds like it will work as we run the same size tires.

I'm getting 275-65-18's put on with all pro wheel spacers and a cornfed 3/2 tomorrow. I really hope I wont have to do any trimming at all.

I don't have any rubbing on frame or suspension, but I am running the Spidertrax wheel spacers. It would be nice to go ahead and trim the rear fender, but I just haven't gotten around to it, and it rubs very seldom, so.......
