Yet another NOOB from Illinois

Im from the chicagoland area and I dont own a Toyota for now. I wanted to get some more info on them before buying. I posted my questions in the classic t4r section hopefully ill get some answers. But out of curiosity whose fromm Chicago area/ wisconson/ indiana.

I am more of a 3rd gen. guy, but search here and YT and you should be able to find enough info. to make your eyes bleed.

I wheel @ Cliffs and Badlands 4 or 5 times each per year (leaving at 2:00 today for Toys-4-Tots at Badlands).

Im from Yorkville,its about 10 minuets out side of aurora, next to oswego, Plano, sandwich. If you don't mind me asking how is the rust on your t4r. Is it so bad that it is hard to work on?? Thats the only real thing that concerns me is that rust is a ***** I always line my fender wells with rubberized under coat and cover up any bare spots with paint. How do the major component hold up to it.( Body I can care less about this time because its going to be off the road 95% of the time)??
