Yet another wheel thread... 17inch wheels on Trail KDSS query

Hi all, so many wheel threads, so much great info.

I have a more subjective question, so looking for individualized opinions or builds.

I have a:
2016 Trail Edition w/KDSS

I want a:
1. A sexy ass wheel
2. Stick with 17 inches.
3. Won't require a realignment or hinder any other parts in my suspension, especially bang on the KDSS for example or put additional strain on the stock components.
4. *bonus but not required* An offset that will bring a set of KO2's on stock sizing (265/70/17) just a hair outside of the fender without rub to give it a slightly more aggressive stance. If not, I'm still happy with the current Trail stance.
5. no lift at this time
6. Prefer not to use spacers to keep the setup simple and basic.

whatcha guys recommend? Like to know if you run a similar system or have any opinions on wheel options. Originally I was going to get the TRD PRO wheels (*zzzzzzzzzz*) but want to considering something else to make the rig your not so typical TRD PRO wannabe.

Having TRDP accessories such as grill, skid plate, etc. and aftermarket wheels will not make your T4R much different than one with TRDP grill, skid plate and TRDP wheels. Pretty much still going to be your "typical TRD Pro wannabe" in someones eyes.

I understand wanting to stand out, but get what you like. I have yet to be called out for having TRDP wheels on my Trail, and furthermore don't care about what someone thinks about it either.

My vote is for OEM TRDP wheels or high quality forged Volk Racing wheels.

Any other brands? Also any recommened offsets to get that slightly aggressive look ti widen the stance a hair?

The trd pro wheels seem to be a good offset to match the tires to just outside the fender?

FN Wheels. 15 mm further out than your stock wheels. IMO any further out is too much.

SCS wheels all -10 offset. Thats going to rub on the stock suspension without a lift im assuming? Im planning to run ko2 265.

What stock wheels did it come with? My 2015 Trail w/KDSS came with some very decent forged fake beadlock wheels. I just put on KO2's and called it a day. I looked into spacers but I figure the vehicle was designed to run optimally with the setup it came with so decided to keep the stance as is. If you want to re-jigger the suspension that's a different story. But I think my setup looks decent and I wouldn't these tires any further towards the fenders.

If you want the look I say go whole hog and get fiberglass fenders.

Yup, keeping the cash in my bank account sounds a whole lot more sexy than a new set of wheels for no reason other than being different. YMMV

I was planning to sell the wheels out. I can get about $600 cad for them. Then use that money to get another set. Hence its not really going to cost me much more tp upgrade the wheels.

Mine came with the oem trail wheels. Painting them black will cost me $700, so its not any cheaper than me selling my wheels and getting new ones with a lower offset and satin black.

$700 to paint wheels? Ouch. I wanted to black out the wheels on my GMC truck and it took 2 cans of rustoleum but I can respect wanting a better job done. Sorry I can be a stick in the mud about spending on aesthetics. I do hope you find what you're looking for and it all works out.
