Hi All,
We have been cranking out these 4Runner bed platforms for a while now and they are really taking off. These have been extensively tested and are holding up amazingly well.

Sets up in minutes, NO tools needed, strong, lightweight, compact and easily fits two adults. Car camping made easy!

Fits Double/Full size Mattress or sleeping pad (54" wide!). Can fit 1 or 2 people.
Use sleeping bags or Double/Full size bedding sheets and blankets
Enter/Exit from either the passenger doors or back hatchback
Side door locks and storage still accessible
Constructed out of sturdy wood with quick release and setup hardware
No tools needed to assemble and it only takes a few minutes to set up.
Perfect for camping and over-landing adventures.

Pretty sweet setup. If love to see more pictures but I don't want anyone stressing your idea. For 200ish with the Ikea parts, not bad.


Edit, watched the video. Cool ideas. Wonder what the long term damage is to the seats and wheel wells.

I think great in that it can be broken down into modular pieces and stored in a compact space (i.e. someone in a small apartment with a broom closet)... but...

1. Looking at it assembled, with mattress, it looks like there's less than 20-24" of head room. How hard will this make it to get out in and out of the vehicle, much less in and out of the bed?

2. Abrasion damage, yuck.

It doesn't actually seem THAT secure, though? Moreso "wedged in" to spaces

Watched the video, and the frame doesn't quite seem to align with the seat cushion tops to lay a mattress flat across it?

Any shots of someone laying on a mattress on the frame - worry about very minimal vertical height there..

Its so secure its scary. The cantilever effect over the wheel wells with the nylon tie-downs work well. There is a review on YouTube.

Putting the frame up any higher (over the rear seats) shrinks the the head space and would also add to the frame thickness, in tern would make more dead space for storage. Mattress or pillows flow effortless over those seats so its not a concern.

We have tested it with small, large and older people and so far we have two thumbs up.

Pretty cool setup! I'm afraid my 50 qt fridge won't clear the bed. Awesome if I didn't need the fridge.

Keep in mind it’s listed in Canadian Dollars.

So $221.77 Canadian is roughly $167.88 US

So I pulled the trigger so to speak and bought one. Ordered it on August 16th and they sent a notification that it was shipped on the 26th. As pointed out in a previous message, their prices are in Canadian dollars. I paid $181.10USD for the item and shipping. I received an email about 6 days prior to their shipping, stating that they found a cheaper rate and would reimburse me the difference (still waiting on that). I received the item today, September 7th. It's a very cool product. AS you can tell from my message count, I'm a relatively new user here so as soon as I set up a way to post pictures I will. The only complaint I have is that the boards were shipped in an unprotected cardboard box. One of the boards took some minor damage that needed to be repaired with some wood glue. Based on the fact that everything I know about Canada is from the TV Series "The Trailer Park Boys", I don't how things are shipped there. In the USA, our packages will take a pounding from time to time as evident from the package I received today.

Heading to Ikea tomorrow to get other needed items to complete the bed. Pictures soon to follow. Thanks!

This product intrigues me but I also have similar questions, particularly with long-term abrasion or damage to the wheel wells and other areas supporting the platform
