You guys ever see a 3g T4R and wonder if they're on the forum?

I tend to think that we "share a monent" as we pass when I see another 4runner especially a 3rd gen...

well, regardless of that phrase's past on this forum, I feel exactly the same way.

I do my best to catch up to them, even if they're stock. Just my luck, SoCal has at least a million 3rd gens per square mile...

Same here. LOL I've found over time, unfortunately, that there's essentially 3 classes of people here in MO as far as T4R's go:

1) People who buy them for reliability and don't mod ANYTHING.
2) People who buy a 1st gen POS, lift it, and that's it.
3) People who lift them 12" and NEVER see dirt.

Everyone here on this site tends to be

4) People who buy them for reliability/capability, mod and lift the HECK out of them, for the specific purpose of taking it offroad.

Once I get out of college (in July, I believe) I will become a member of that group. Waiting on my 'build' thread until that point - it'd be kinda ridiculous to have a "Kung's build thread" for a new HU, LBJs/OTREs that I didn't install myself, and a blower motor resistor. LOL

I generally only get curious if they're modified in one way or another...

I saw a guy at Starbucks the other morning that gave me a creepy head nod... And he ordered the same drink as I did, kinda strange.

Creepy head nod? Weird. Who would do such a thing...


And I'm always curious when I see a built third gen around. It would be cool if you could look members up by area or something.
