Zaino? Klasse AIO or Liquid Glass?

Hi Guys,
Would love to know if one of these products is better than the others or not. Basically, so far I have always used a combination of Mother's products and Liquid Glass together for my cars. However, given that the 5th gen is such a huge beast, I would love to use a product that is easier to use (meaning at the end my arm is not ready to fall off). However, I would also like for the product to be of really good quality. Any recommendations?

Although a paste wax will give you longer lasting protection. If you want something that removes road grim, bugs ect and is an easy wipe-off wax...get some Super Glaze from The Wax Shop.

Best thing about this product, you can use it in direct sunlight on a hot vehicle....still wipes off with ease. The down side is because its a very thin liquid wax, it doesn't last for a long period, especially on dark vehicles.

Always, always, always use a high quality paste for the best protection

No, no, no. What you want is a "sealant", not a wax. A wax will last a few weeks. A sealant will last a couple of months. Polishing and good prep before is the key.

For real expert advise, don't ask people on this forum. Great people but none are detailing enthusiasts. Go to Detailing Bliss Forum - News and look at the Forum in the LSP (Last Step Protection) section. You will get more info there than you ever dreamed of. There are other sections too for Compounding and Polishing that are essential also.

Do your research first before spending hours and killing yourself waxing your car.

But like I said, properly washing, claying, polishing and prepping the surface is a MAJOR key before laying down the sealant (or if you choose, wax).

A good quality paste wax will last 6 - 8 weeks, shorter than a sealant for sure BUT...

As someone who use to own/run a detail shop with a bud. You WILL NOT get the depth from a sealant you'll get from a good Carnuba wax. Especially on darker vehicles (Black, Dark Blue, Dark Green ect.), a sealant can't come close.

Just for the record, I'd call this work from a detail enthusiasts:

and if you think cleaning / polishing an SUV is time consuming .... I spend more time on this than the T4R ... you should try it once, thats 124ci of "show polished" S&S motor, not to mention all the other billet & chrome stuff.

True about the depth from a wax...... but on top of a sealant is best. And nowadays, many enthusiasts get great results from sealants that don't require a wax on top. Blackfire Wet Diamond for example - very slick stuff.

And this forum is not a good source of detailing info. For that, go to one that exists for enthusiasts.

I use NuFinish, it's cheap, goes on easy comes off easy, can use it in direct sun light. The real trick is whatever you use do it regularly. I "wax" the car 3 or 4 times a year. Wash it every week or so at the power wash.

Not looking to win any car shows, just want to maintain the paint and have it clean.

Sir, please stop using NuFinish exclusively. NuFinish is a polish, a cleaner. It offers NO protection for the paint. You are constantly cleaning the paint which is wearing away more and more of the clear coat every time. You are actually damaging the finish if that is all you are using. You probably end up with a dirty applicator each time, right? That's because it has abrasives that are lifting the dirt, but also your clear coat.

Using NuFinish once or twice a year to polish ( and there are much better choices for polishing) is ok only if you immediately follow it with a sealant or wax.

To get the deep and wet paint look, you can always finish off with carnuba wax after applying sealant.

Another product you can use that offers no protection but gives a very nice wet look is Meguair's Show Car #7 Glaze.

I'm a fan of Meguars for the polishes as I use the 105 and 205 with the Porter cable. That being said, the shine comes mostly from the prep. You prep it wrong and you won't see teh mirror finish you're looking for no matter what you put on it.
I used to use Zaino and just didn't see the results I was looking for without putting coat after coat on it. I now use Collinite insulator wax... cheap, shiny and easy to apply. The results last for a LONG time too. Every now and then I pull out the P21S, but I don't see a big reason to when you look at the results side by side.

How do you prep before laying on the Collinite? I have read rave reviews on autogeek and amazon about the stuff and bought a bottle for myself to give it a shot. I washed with two buckets, clay barred, polished and then layed down the Collinite. It beaded water like I thought it would but it seemed to disappear after a week of rain and a wash thereafter.
I'm thinking maybe I should have used a paint cleaner as well because I know that the 845 is not a cleaner wax. I also know that the paint quality in the 3rd gens is not quite as good as the later models (at least in my opinion).

That's strange. If you polished and there was no residue on the paint and it was pristine, then Collinite should adhere and last for months.

Did you use any quick detailer to remove the polish? If so, then you put sealant (which is what C845 truly is) on top of a layer of qd and that can certainly explain it not bonding. If not, then I can't explain it.
