Zeb's 07 T4R

Hi guys and gals.

Picked up my used but new to me 07 V6 Sport Edition. Always wanted a T4R, but the budget or lifestyle never seemed to fit at the same time. Getting married and having a son definitely got me out of the tuning and import scene. Needed something more useful and hopefully less of a money pit.

A running history of my cars:

Found the T4R of about 2 months of lazily looking while waiting for my TSX to sell. I was ready to give up considering the state of all the T4R's that were within my budget. They just needed too much work. This one with 142k miles needed some repairs and general maintenance, but nothing I couldn't handle.

So far, thanks to this forum and the service manual:

+ General maintenance: oil and filter, engine and cabin filter, spark plugs (still the originals!), diff and transfer oils, greased driveline, replaced busted HVAC display bulbs, drained and filled tranny fluid x3.
+ Added HID low beams and did a full LED interior swap. Luckily all the bulbs from my TSX fit so no was money spent.
+ Had a torn driver's side CV boot. Replaced whole half shaft with a RockAuto unit. Oddly, it took me longer to get the metal dust plate off the hub than to do the rest of the axle replacement.
+ Greased and serviced the brakes due to the notorious seized piston concern.

Already loving the fact that the family and all our random stuff fits with room to spare.

Waiting for snow and hoping to hit 250k+ miles in this thing!

Welcome! You shouldn't be disappointed in your T4R. These things are hard to kill, look sweet, super able and fun to build! Looks like you got a nice one- enjoy! :)

Thanks for the welcome guys. T4R forum is way nicer/informational than the other forums I've been a part of for my previous vehicles.

looks like its in good condition! my buddy had a nice 08 and the trans freakishly stopped working.. the guys at toyota said they've never seen it happen and sent the unit to toyota for inspection. These trucks should see close to 300k with good maintenance.
